Symptoms of a Stroke:

If you have any of these symptoms, call 911.

Tell 911, "I think I'm having a stroke."

Sudden onset of:

  • Weakness/numbness on one side of the body
  • Confusion, loss of speech or trouble understanding others
  • Blindness in one or both eyes
  • Double Vision
  • Dizziness, loss of balance or trouble walking
  • Severe headache (comes on abruptly and is worse than any you’ve had before)

Stroke Prevention Tips:

If you have High Blood Pressure, make sure it is treated properly.

  • Stop Smoking
  • Limit Alcohol
  • Watch your diet and manage your weight
  • Get plenty of exercise
  • Schedule annual check-ups with your doctor
You can reduce your risk of stroke by practicing these by up to 80%.
