Celebrating The Spine Center
On October 1, 2009, the Department of Neurosurgery held a party in the Griffis Faculty Club at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center to celebrate The Spine Center. The party was attended by The Spine Center staff, friends, fellows and colleagues. Chairman of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Philip E. Stieg, along with Dr. Joel Stein, Chief, Division of Rehabilitation Medicine, welcomed the group with introductory remarks on the multidisciplinary approach of The Spine Center. Dr. Roger Härtl, Co-Director of the Center gave an overview of the Center’s mission, including state-of-the-art procedures, educational outreach, humanitarian missions to Africa, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and more. He introduced Dr. Jeffrey Radecki, recently named Co-Director of The Spine Center, and thanked all of his staff and colleagues who have proactively worked over recent years to make The Spine Center one of the most active in New York City.
